TWO-FOR-ONE

Supporters of congresswomen Haley Stevens (D-Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Troy, Commerce, western Oakland and Wayne counties) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Rochester, Rochester Hills, northern Oakland county, parts of Livingston and Ingham counties) have the opportunity to double their impact and benefit from the two women, who represent neighboring districts, coupling their fundraising. Each campaign has sent emails to their supporters urging donations to the other, pointing out, “We’ve gotten to know each other over the past few years, because in 2018 we both flipped Republican seats in districts that voted for President Trump in 2016. Now, the country is watching to see what both our districts will do in 2020.Can you make a donation to both our campaigns ...your donation will be split evenly between the two of us.” To further emphasize their joint impact, several Oakland County supporters are hosting a joint fundraiser for the two in late February, with suggested donation levels from $300 for an individual to a maximum of $11,200 for a couple. While each face Republican challengers, they each have significant war chests, and are building to fend off serious battles.
