First quarter fundraising reports have yet to be published by the U.S. Federal Elections Commission, but a statement released the first week of April by Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, western Oakland, part of western Wayne County) shows the freshman lawmaker isn't having any trouble raising cash for her next ride on the rodeo circuit in 2020. Stevens said she raised more than $565,000 in the first quarter of the year, with about 70 percent of contributions being donations of $50 or less. The fundraising stands as a warning to potential challengers.
