AMONG THE BILLIONAIRES

Republican Congresswoman Lisa McClain, who represents part of Oakland and Macomb counties in the U.S. House, became an internet darling after attending President Trump’s UFC event on the White House lawn in mid-June. A number of social media sites showed the congresswoman hanging with the likes of Mark Zuckerberg at the cage match event. She did receive some blowback online but responded by expressing support, saying it was a good way to honor America’s troops. Also did not hurt for the Chairwoman of the House Republican Conference to show up on Trump’s birthday. Meanwhile, McClain, days earlier, found herself stranded on a plane for an hour at Reagan International Airport because all air traffic was grounded due to an airshow rehearsal for the White house gathering. Joining her for the hour were Michigan Democrat Reps. Shri Thanedar, Debbie Dingell and Rashida Tlaib.
