With the August primary now in the rear view mirror, Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens has to recalibrate her future route. While committing to help Democrats win in November, including her primary opponent Abdul El-Sayed, telling CBS News she was moving on and “their differences were aired out...It’s a big tent party.” After catching her breath after the bruising less-than one point loss, Stevens told Oakland Confidential, “Right now I’m focused on finishing off my congressional term that ends January 2, 2027, and being there for Michiganders and my constituents through the end of the term.” After that, she’s still assessing her options, as it’s early. “We live in an incredible democracy and I’m proud to be part of it. I remain an enthusiastic Zionist, pro labor Democrat and patriot! This was the ride of a lifetime and I can’t wait for what’s next.”
