Although both the Republicans and Democrats next year at their conventions will nominate their respective candidates for state attorney general, the list is already starting to grow for both parties. On the GOP side, attorney Kevin Kijewski, a Birmingham resident, has announced that he will be seeking the party nomination. A former superintendent of Catholic schools in the Detroit archdiocese, Kijewski is currently representing one of the 15 “fake elector” defendants. As for Democrats, former federal prosecutor from the western side of the state Mark Totten has announced, as has Washtenaw Prosecutor Eli Savit.
