Crystal ball

Just as we predicted last month, President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Bloomfield Hills native and Northville resident Ronna Romney McDaniel to head the Republican National Committee. Romney McDaniel has been chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party since 2015, and impressed Trump by delivering the state to him when it was expected to be in Clinton’s camp, turning Michigan red for the first time since 1988. Reportedly, her role as national chair will be to promote Trump’s agenda and hold or expand the Republican majority in Congress. Word has it local Republican stalwart Jeff Sakwa will get the nod to replace Romney McDaniel in Michigan.
